After forty hours of work per week, raising the kids, tending to the house, and running errands, there’s often never time for a woman to take care of herself. Even finding five minutes to make oneself presentable with some make up and a decent outfit seems to be impossible. In a budget and time-tight world, there are still many ways any woman can be more like a lady.

The first, and possibly easiest, way to be more like a lady is to have good posture. Not only does good posture make you seem more presentable, it helps reduce back pain by relieving stress on the spine. Don’t think of good posture as forcing yourself to be stiff as a board, walking around with a book on your head. Good posture is as simple as avoiding slouching, bending at the knees not the waist, walking with your head up and your eyes looking straight ahead, and stretching to avoid soreness. Yoga is a fun and relaxing way to practice posture.
Take an etiquette class. At an etiquette class, one can learn proper etiquette for appropriateness in life’s every day experiences. Etiquette classes examine behaviors in various classes of entertaining, table settings, dining, and suitable attire for miscellaneous social occasions. If there aren’t etiquette classes available where you live, there’s tons of books and movies that teach you the same manners - at a cheaper price and when the time is convenient for you.
It’s important to be humble! Be sure to dress conservatively rather than choosing to dress in skin tight or low cut outfits. To go along with the outside, have a modest inside. A modest, sweet attitude is more lady like than dressing and acting as if you’re trying to have every man salivating over you. You can have the utmost lady like manners in the world, but if you’re dressed like a promiscuous woman then you will be respected and treated as such.
Don’t swear, spit, burp, or pass gas in public. It’s okay to be one of the guys when you’re not in public, but if you’re looking to be more ladylike, try to hold in your impulses until you are at home. Swearing often makes one seem immature and impolite. Learn some new words to replace profanity with. This way, you’ll be more proper and respected.
Most importantly, be yourself. If you’re not comfortable with yourself, how can you expect anyone else to be comfortable with you? If you find it difficult to see yourself doing a particular thing, then that isn’t you and you should probably avoid doing it. If you can see yourself walking with a pleasant posture with your head up and shoulders level, or if you could see yourself not talking bad about someone and being a bit more reserved, then go for it. However, if find it impossible to wear uncomfortable clothing or replacing vulgar words impracticable, then that is not you and you should not have to do it.
